Jiddu Krishnamurti was an Indian spiritual teacher, speaker, and author. As a child, he was adopted by members of the Theosophical Society, who believed he would become a significant spiritual leader. He experienced intense mystical episodes in the early 1920s that deeply affected his outlook on life. In 1929, Krishnamurti distanced himself from the Theosophy movement and dissolved the organization that had been established around him. He dedicated the rest of his life to sharing his ideas on psychological freedom and self-inquiry, traveling internationally to engage with audiences through talks and discussions.
