José Enrique Jerí Oré is a Peruvian politician and lawyer who became the 65th president of Peru on 10 October 2025. He assumed office after the impeachment and removal of Dina Boluarte. Before his presidency, Jerí served as president of the Congress of the Republic from July to October 2025 and has represented Lima in Congress for the We Are Peru party since 2021. Jerí is noted for being the eighth person to hold the presidency in Peru within a ten-year span. At age 38, he is the third youngest president in the country's history and the first millennial to serve in this role.
