Narendra Damodardas Modi is an Indian politician who has held the position of prime minister of India since 2014. Before this role, he was the chief minister of Gujarat from 2001 to 2014 and has represented Varanasi as a member of parliament. Modi is affiliated with the Bharatiya Janata Party and is also associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. He is recognized as the longest-serving prime minister in India who is not from the Indian National Congress.
