Mark Ruffalo is an American actor and filmmaker who started his career in the late 1980s. He first became known for his performances in the play This Is Our Youth and the film You Can Count on Me. Over the years, he appeared in a range of genres, including romantic comedies like 13 Going on 30 and Just Like Heaven, as well as thrillers such as In the Cut, Zodiac, and Shutter Island. Ruffalo earned a Tony Award nomination for his role in the Broadway revival of Awake and Sing! in 2006.
